As I am writing this, the Tibi semi-annual sale is not yet live. As fans know, usually, the sale includes pieces with codes R123 and S124 (namely, Resort 23 and Spring 24) and starts at the beginning of June. Certain pieces from these collections are sometimes not on sale, and some fundamentals with other codes are included. In addition, other pieces and shoes usually drop later in the sale. You can also order via stylist (Amy often shares the stylist Instagram accounts), and while there is no official policy, these pre-orders can start before the sale begins. As of writing this, I do not know which pieces will be on sale, but these are my favorites from the resort and spring collections.
During the sale time, it is quite easy to lose sight as the fear of selling out starts to drive our decisions. If you want some perspective, have a look at strategies to moderate your shopping and questions to ask before buying anything, as well as my previous winter sale recap and last summer sale recap to see how the expectations when buying and the reality of wearing can be really quite different. Have a look at how not to do sale from Rachel at Hey Mrs. Solomon and also get a real perspective on things that matter from Totally Recommend. Finally, the sale pieces almost always resurface via Tibi Fans or another resale platform, so do not let the fear of missing out consume your thinking.
Having said that, here are my favorites from the resort and spring collections.
My Buy
I feel super proud of my intention to stick to just one piece during the Tibi summer sale this year, and this piece is the shirt/jacket above. In general, when I find a combination of blazer/shirt or blazer/cardigan from Tibi, I always pay attention. These are usually the most versatile pieces as they are less formal than a regular blazer. I love the color and shape of this jacket and can see how it could work on cooler summer nights out.
My Maybe
Another piece I have seen looking amazing on a fellow Tibi fan is this structured neckline top. It is a bit expensive even on sale for a cotton top (50% off from the original price of $375 USD). However, it is both flattering and interesting, and I am still considering this as the sale evolves.
My Other Picks
This is an amazing dress for someone with a lifestyle that suits it. The color is divine, the 4-ply silk is of super high quality, and the shape is very relaxed. It can be dressed up for virtually any event and would be an amazing addition to a wardrobe for someone who goes out a lot (which is not my case, hence it is not a must-have for me).
Leggings are extremely versatile, and Tibi uses a compact stretch material that I love. I’ve been able to try them in real life, and they look as good as on a model. Having said that, there are other options that are less expensive, such as the recently popular Leset Rio legging. Still, they are a versatile and useful piece.
A textured T-shirt is a non-basic basic in the best sense of the word. Wearing this makes it much more interesting than a simple T-shirt. I’ve seen a similar version by Cos and am curious to try something similar at some point during the season.
I had a chance to try Cecil sweatpants in real life, and they look great. These sweatpants look like pants, with belt loops and all. If you work from home or in a semi-formal environment, this is a great piece that can help you feel both comfortable and sleek. As I am writing this, I can feel these pants climbing higher up my wishlist—Tibi does interesting sweatpants extremely well, and this is one example of that.
I love this blazer for its unique structure and a beautiful color. Interesting takes on a blazer are another area that Tibi does very well. I’ve seen it worn by Tibi stylists, and the collarless shape and stone color make this blazer a special piece. Definitely a consideration, especially if you wear blazers a lot.
The tuxedo shirts have been one of the statement pieces this season, and they do bring something extra to an outfit. It is unclear if they will be on sale, though. In any case, they add an interesting element to an oversized shirt and can be worn both as a shirt or instead of a jacket.
Kat Jogger is an iteration of the Felix jogger. It has a fairly narrow leg and high waist. I have worn my Felix jogger in black to death, as it has been super versatile. This colorway looks amazing as well and I seriously considered it but other priorities won. However, if this is something you need, it is a great option.
Great Pieces, But Not For Me
If you like Liam blazer, you may like this iteration with a shorter version with multiple zippers on the side. It can bring a lot of styling versatility and the color is super interesting. I did not particularly like it on me, but I’ve seen it looking amazing on Irene KF and there are plenty of styling possibilities while manipulating different zippers.
This is a new top silhouette that has emerged this season—there are several versions, including this one in pink. I have broad shoulders, so I did not really like it on myself, but a fellow fan tried it and looked stunning. It is a great going-out top that can work both casually and for an evening out, all with the Tibi ease.
I had a chance to try on this pant in real life, and it is a pretty cool pant. I did not like it for myself, as it requires a slim fit on the top while the pant is very voluminous. However, another Tibi customer was trying it in-store and looked stunning. The Sid/Winslow shape is unique and can add a lot of interest to an outfit, and the sporty nylon is a signature material from Tibi.
So these are my highlights, and I am sure more will emerge as the sale evolves (although I am trying to stay in moderation this time). What are your picks for the Tibi sale this year? Please let me know in the comments!
