I think you are a TR based on these outfits. If you are cinching the waist with a hair tie, you are accommodating curve. The romantic outfits look incredible on you

I love it in the photos too, but I curved my hips quite a bit to achieve this look, so in reality it looks less TR:)

I find this system as you’ve explained it a wonderful tool too! Not to be used rigidly but to put words to nonverbal gut reactions as to why something feels good or not. And to move on from trying to find the perfect shape or a shape missing from my closet that will probably never be as flattering as some other shapes.

As I’ve explored my colors with a Red Leopard analyst who visited LA from London, and as I’ve also been exploring styles and shapes similar to Kibbe, my “closet”is getting more coherent and useful.

Do you have an IG account?

Thank you! Susan

I agree, style rules that do not rigidly dictate, but rather explain are the best. My IG is Styleinprocess!

I love this idea and now want to try my own experiment! Your last look brought up something interesting re: sharpness of angles vs softness of draping pants. One of my favourite outfits combines these two: a long orange blazer with sand coloured joggers. I feel the contrast really makes it work, and I think though I have self-diagnosed as a classic/soft classic I need to try some experiments like you!

Yes, seems like another way to play with style, combining angular and round shapes in unexpected ways!

I find Kibbe's system great to understand why certain shapes and elements just don't work for us eg. why we feel uncomfortable in them. As a self proclaimed (soft) natural, ruffles makes me feel completely off. But like any other system it's a tool, and if we like something that's not recommended for us, I'll say wear it any way! If you start to combine it with Kitchener's essences (another rabbit hole) it's get a bit more nuanced (or complicated) 😂

Oh my, I've seen the essences mentioned online, thanks for the pointer - looks like my next rabbit hole!! :)
