After having considerable success with last year’s resolutions, I decided to further explore the style and become proficient in it. Here’s what I plan for 2025.

Explore Shapes

OK. Shapes are hard for me. I have a theory that the further your body type is from the “standard” model, the harder it is to play with shapes - as you are less of a “blank canvas” and bring additional constraints to the table. At the same time, I learn again and again that constraints are the reason for creativity, and so this is what I will push towards this year.

Explore Textures and Prints

I’ve become pretty fluent with color, but textures are a bit of a mystery for me. I want to systematize how different textures play together and what they bring to the table. I believe this is more subtle than just playing with color, but at the same time, this may lead to more interesting findings and take a simple outfit to the next level.

A lot of exploration is going on here, isn’t it? But since I started thinking about textures and color, prints and patterns seemed like a natural next step. So I want to dive deeper into the world of prints and patterns and see how my style can be improved with these.
