The Trends I Am Seeing (and Liking) from SS24

Since starting this newsletter, I’ve begun following fashion week much more closely, and here are some trend observations I noted during the SS24 shows. I am intrigued about some of them, while others may not be for me, but it's undoubtedly an exciting time in fashion. Let’s dive in!

Large Vests

Vests have been a statement piece for about a year, but now we have transitioned to large vests and I am here for it. You could actually craft one by cutting the sleeves off an oversized men’s blazer as demonstrated by Amy Smilovic in one of her Instagram lives. Tibi made a vest of its famous Liam silhouette, and it was not the only one - here is one and another by Jil Sander, a long MM6 Maison Margiela version, and a Frankie Shop one that I am seriously considering.

Am I trying it? Yes! Love the oversized, not so small vest. It provides a bit of shoulder coverage as well as an overall relaxed feel.
