Excellent deep dive as usual! My only Liam is the silk nylon in the color dune from a few seasons ago and I love it. I would prefer it it were navy or black but was able to get the dune for a good price on resale. Xue, I was worried about the cut as well but I have made it work!
Liam is quite universal due to its slouch and dropped shoulders, but you do need to embrace the oversized vibe a bit:) Hope you get to try it out somewhere!
My one Tibi Liam is the Navy Wool Angora from sale a few seasons back. I like that it’s unlined works as a light jacket or a blazer. I tried some of the early tropical wool versions and some are very stiff. Yep being a non blazer person I’d like to find the crispy nylon preloved.
I remember the angora one - it sounds great as an outerwear! Crispy nylon is almost never available pre-loved, I haven’t seen much of it. I am manifesting the crispy nylon in more colors, like the aubergine they had for pants
This was awesome - so useful! I’ve been curious about Tibi for ages and the Liam has been at the top of my list! You’ve made a strong case for crispy nylon, drapey suiting and the tropical wool versions, in my opinion :)
It should be pretty relaxed, are you able to button the third button? When I had my too small blazer, it was fine unbuttoned but uncomfortably tight when I buttoned the third button
I have the oatmeal tropical wool Liam that you pictured, plus a crispy nylon version. The crispy nylon wins hands down for me as it adds missing interest and texture to a lot of my outfits in a really easy way. A (male!) friend who travels to Japan a lot did tell me it looked very Japanese (??)😄.
I'm not sure if it's the colour or the fabrication of the tropical wool, but it obviously feels more oversized than what I'm used to plus all-day slightly more formal so I'm still finding ways to wear it that work for me.
With you on the Crispy nylon Liam (with winslows).
Yeppppppp - on board 100%

That gives me comfort! It’s such a gorgeous style and I love seeing it on other people!
If I recall correctly, I was eyeing that one so much - that color is divine!
The nylon Liam is top of my wish list! But I’m so nervous about whether the cut would work for me. I wish I had a tibi store near me!

I’’m typically slim slim skin so anything oversized is v new to me!! :P
I see - once you have a chance to try it, will be very curious to hear your thoughts!

Thank you! Let me know if you decide to purchase one and how do you like it!
I just got a crispy nylon Liam and I am not sure if I need a bigger size
It fits me overall but when I try to move my arms out to the side it binds
Is that just what it does ?

I am able to button the third button
Whoops hit enter accidentally ! .. and it isn’t too tight .. maybe I just need to play with it :) thank you !
