Is There A Life After Tibi?
I (Temporarily) Stopped Buying from My Favorite Brand and Survived
(I am sorry for the title - I just could not get this one out of my head!)
I have a confession to make – I’ve been following and buying from Tibi less and less. In fact, I haven’t bought anything since June and have instead focused on using what I already have in my wardrobe. I wish I could say I became enlightened and discovered the essence of true style that transcends trends and style classes, but that’s not entirely the case. The reason is more practical: our family has other financial priorities at the moment, and filling my already full closet with the latest pieces isn’t one of them. Surprisingly, this transition has been more manageable than I expected.
Yes, I still love Tibi and appreciate the beautiful approach to design they offer. I feel like a monk who lets thoughts pass by without engaging. I see fantastic items being released, reviewed by Tibi fans and stylists, and selling out, and I do not act on them. Even the latest sale didn’t trigger my usual “buy something ASAP” response that has been my modus operandi for the past few years. And this shift has led to some valuable lessons.
