In order to test my summer dressing capabilities, we just had a heatwave and it's not always easy to find a good look when it is really hot. However, I still love summer dressing and find it my favorite season. Please have a look at part 1 on summer dressing tips if you missed it, and below is the second part of the summer dressing ideas.

Accessories Complete the Look

With fewer elements to play with, accessories can truly make the outfit. I am especially fond of interesting summer shoes in different textures and colors. For example, the outfit below is elevated entirely by accessories like shoes and a bag; otherwise, it is a very simple dress.

Gilyte dress, Left: Wandler bag, Cos shoes; Right: Jil Sander shoes, Tibi bag

The same goes for the outfit below - the dress is more statement-making due to its bright color, but the shoes and bag are the key pieces that balance it out.

If you're looking for interesting summer shoes, here are a few examples to try - all of these would transform your outfit. There are endless options for interesting summer shoes (unlike the struggle to find equally interesting winter shoes), making it sensible to have a versatile collection.
