The Battle of Trench Coats: Classic vs. Casual
I have two trench coats: the worn-in, modern-cut, casual-material trench in dirtyish blue from Low Classic that I lovingly call my “trashy” trench, and the stunning, classic (yet also relaxed) beige trench coat from The Curated. I initially bought the Low Classic one and, after a while, felt the need for a change, so I also bought the one by The Curated.
What surprised me is that I consistently reached for my “trashy” trench, the Low Classic one, which clocked 81 days of wear. Meanwhile, my beautiful The Curated trench was mostly in my closet, seeing just 16 wears in a year, especially in a country with such a long transitional season. Somehow, wearing The Curated one, with its classic tone and structure, always felt “too” refined, leading me back to the Low Classic one.
