The fashion favorite season is here, and this year's fall collections are delivering. There are so many intriguing trends on the horizon—some I'm excited to try, and others not so much. Let’s dive in!

Rich Color Combos

This trend is impossible to miss—it's everywhere. Deep burgundy, greens, and rich browns are dominating. Personally, I love it. These colors feel so rich and fall-like, and I'm sure everyone has something similar in their wardrobe. However, there are a couple of caveats.

First, I once had a burgundy bag, and it was surprisingly hard to style. Burgundy seems like a universal color, but it's not as easy to work with as you might think. I recommend leaning towards a burgundy with cooler undertones, somewhere between burgundy and purple.

Second, Amy recently shared a story about how sticking exclusively to these colors (burgundy, brown, camel) can easily look dated (I believe that’s the word she used, but I have not saved the story). Therefore, it is better to mix in cooler or brighter shades to keep the look fresh.

Am I trying it? Yes! I'll be digging through my wardrobe to see what I can use to recreate these looks. In the meantime, there are plenty of options from different brands and stores.

Note to US readers: Cos seems to be releasing these new arrivals in Europe before the US, so I've included links to the European site. They should appear on the US site soon.

All Things Green

Another standout color this season is green. It's a bit earthier than the mint tones we've seen in recent seasons and comes in various shades and styles, often in monochrome or intentionally mismatched combinations.

Am I trying it? No. While green looks great with my complexion and I've experimented with it quite a bit, I've found that different tones of green rarely work well together. It's a hassle to style, so I prefer to pair green with other colors or invest in different color mixes instead of going all-green. That said, I don't mind brighter mint tones, and if you're interested, here are some options.
